What's a LINk?

Leeds Local Involvement Network (LINk)

Local Involvement Networks are required by government legislation to bring local people, community groups and organisations together, with an aim to improve health and social care services in their local communities. Through joining the Leeds LINk you will have the chance to share your thoughts, ideas and concerns and ensure that the people of Leeds receive the health and social care that they want. Your level of involvement with the LINk is down to how much you feel you can offer in the way of your time and knowledge; you can be involved as little or as much as you like!

To view a video showing ways in which LINk members have been involved in the past please visit: http://youtu.be/0kj4914fbmo (this will take you to an external site)

How we've helped
Leeds LINk is involved in ongoing activities that allow it to monitor health and social care services in the city and provide an opportunity for patient and public feedback to service providers. It organises Enter and View Visits, Involvement Events, Hospital Food Tasting Sessions and Stroke Research. Anyone with information or comments on these areas, or suggestions for new projects, can contact Leeds LINk on 0113 388 5099 or leeds.link@shaw-trust.org.uk

  • You can help your community voice their issues, ideas and concerns.
  • You can get attention for neglected issues or ideas.
